A smart level sensor is a compact device that utilizes radar technology to accurately measure fluid levels in various settings. The device is battery-operated and wirelessly transmits data to the Pipelife SmartHub for fluid level monitoring and analysis.

Our smart level sensors seamlessly integrate into existing stormwater management systems, providing a non-intrusive, radar-based solution for precise water level monitoring. They can be simply installed in any of the constituent parts of a comprehensive stormwater system —from collection chambers and grease separators to attenuation tanks and pumping stations. 

Via the Pipelife Smarthub, you can monitor stormwater system water levels and utilize the data to avoid overflows, downtime and maintenance.

Data insights from the smart level sensor are accessible through the Pipelife SmartHub — a secure, cloud-based interface that presents data through user-friendly visualizations and reports. The SmartHub can also be used to customize your setup by setting up bespoke notifications and alarm warnings for each device and data category. 

SmartHub also offers APIs to integrate the collected data with third-party systems or can implement third-party data validation.

The device is lightweight, compact and easy to install. We offer various accessories to streamline installation depending on the mounting surface you are working with. The system is also completely wireless, eliminating the need for complex wiring during setup.

Absolutely. Alarms and alerts can be customized for each data category according to your requirements, allowing for proactive management and immediate response to critical changes in fluid levels or conditions. For example, once you set the level at which you would like to receive alarm notifications, you can also program the device to increase data transmission frequency to ensure you are staying up to date with the situation.

By signaling potential overflows in stormwater and wastewater systems, the smart level sensor helps to prevent pollution and other harmful substances from entering our water supplies. 

Once alerted, users can take steps to prevent overflows from occurring. Polluted runoff, therefore, remains in the system rather than making its way into our natural water supplies. The runoff passes through cleaning filters to prepare the water for reuse or infiltration into the soil — saving valuable drinking water resources and supporting natural water cycles.  

Through continuous monitoring and customized alarms, the device can alert facility managers to potential issues before they become critical. This allows users to engage in proactive maintenance and avoid costly downtime.
